Community Groups

Community Groups do not meet in the church; rather they meet in neighborhoods, giving people opportunities to not only deepen their relationships with those who live near them but also with friends from the church. These groups meet for a specific period of time (typically 4-5 months) and seek to multiply themselves. The focus of these groups revolves around Henning Memorial’s vision for ministry:
Building Relationships - Building relationships among the group and cultivating relationships in neighborhoods with those yet to join the group will be a main priority.
Nurturing Community - Each group will nurture their relationship with God by devoting themselves to the study of scripture and by committing to personal and social holiness.
Reflecting God’s Love - Each group will name and commit to a serving opportunity in our community at least once a month.
More information about Community Groups, including ways to get connected, will be shared in each worship service throughout the month of August.
If you have any questions about these groups or are interested in serving in a leadership role please contact Rev. Austin at arinehart@hmumc.com or 527-5483.
