CONSECRATION
SUNDAY is next week (February 28th). What is God calling us to give? Join us for morning worship and the catered
meal at 5:30 pm in the Family Life Center.
M.U.S.I.C: Did you
know that the anthem this morning, "A Lenten Walk" is an arrangement
of "Jesus Walked This Lonesome Valley?" An arrangement is what a composer does with a
hymn or other melody to make it sound more interesting than the original. Usually, the tune remains the same although
sometimes the rhythm will be slightly different. Sometimes, one or two notes of the melody are
modified. The resulting anthem is
familiar to the congregation, yet provides an opportunity to hear something
known in a new way. It's the same
concept as accessorizing an outfit you wear.
