VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL REGISTRATION (VBS) - You can register in the Gallery or register online at www.henningmemorialumc.org/VBS. Deadline to order t-shirts is TODAY, Sunday, May 20, 2012.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL GIVING TREES are set up in the Gallery and in the Narthex with the items needed. Please have all items returned no later than June 3, 2012.

VBS Leadership Meeting TODAY At 4:00 PM In The Sanctuary - Everyone working with VBS this summer is asked to attend the training to learn the stories and songs. Our goal is to make it the best VBS ever and to do that we need to all know what is happening everywhere, not just in your room. We look forward to working with all of you.

SUNDAY EVENING WORSHIP SERVICE - Olivia Pruett will lead the service and talk about her experience at General Conference.

COLLECTING NEW & USED SCHOOL UNIFORMS - Grits & Grace Sunday School class is collecting Calcasieu Parish school uniforms. If you have uniforms that you would like to donate, please drop them off at the church office.

NO OPEN GYM FOR THE REST OF MAY - We will resume in June.

WESLEYAN WEDNESDAY SUPPER HAS ENDED UNTIL THE FALL.

Louisiana Conference Special Offering May 27th - The Louisiana Conference has been supporting the congregation of the First United Methodist Church in Ekaterinburg, Russia since its beginning in 1991. Countless contributions over the last 20 years have included food, medical equipment, clothing, hygiene items, Sunday School curriculum, church materials and Vacation Bible School supplies. This special offering will be dedicated to the repairing of the church. Make checks payable to Henning Memorial UMC.

SPECIAL OFFERING JUNE 3RD & 10TH - Peace with Justice, empowering United Methodists to work for peace, love and compassion for God’s children everywhere. Please make checks payable to Henning Memorial UMC.

WEEKEND OF THE CROSS IS ALMOST HERE - We are looking for volunteers to cook, drive supplies to work sites, lead a work team, spend the night at the church, drive the band and speaker around, take pictures, pray, and financial support for this mission project. The dates are June 21-24. If you are interested in helping in any way, please contact Olivia at the church office at 527-5483.
